There are millions of Americans who suffer from allergies and am prone to sniffles, sinus problems and colds throughout the year. Also, most Americans spend a great deal of time in the car on any given day. Whether it’s driving to a business meeting, picking up groceries or chauffeuring the neighborhood kids to a soccer game, our automobile has become a home away from home. Look around the interior and you’ll find the necessities of life – water bottles, books and magazines, crayons, paper, loose change, and of course, a box of tissues. The most elusive of all of these is the box of tissue.
Think about driving down the highway and feeling that big sneeze coming on. You reach for the tissues that you think are on the seat right next to you. But as you reach across, they’re not there. You become slightly agitated – they must have fallen on the floor. You stretch your arm to the passenger foot area and with your free right hand (the other on the wheel trying to drive in a straight line) you frantically search for the box – again, not there. Meantime, the sneeze that you’re trying so hard to hold off, is about to erupt. Quick, reach to the backseat, maybe the tissues are there. No, no, where are they??!! ACHOO!!!…too late.
Having played out this scenario time and time again, our funder was suddenly struck with a brainstorm. Why doesn’t somebody put tissues in a cup so they can be placed in a car cupholder and always be available? The attributes of such a product in today’s automobile-oriented society are obvious – convenience and safety. It seemed so simple. After discussion with friends, he decided that tissues in a disposable cup was such a good idea that it would lead the charge to change the way tissues were packaged for specific use in a vehicle.
After considerable work on the project, a new product brand called TissueCupper was born. TissueCupper has also received a U.S. Patent Pending approval. Just think of it, no more unchecked sneezes, sniffles or runny noses while driving. TissueCupper provides on-the-road convenience and are always within reach.
